Progress of registration under Mission Youth reviewed in Poonch

POONCH, Sept 10: District Development Council Chairperson, Tazeem Akhter today chaired a meeting of DDC members, BDC members and concerned officers to review the progress regarding the registration of the Youth Clubs in their respective Panchayats, here at conference Hall of DC office.
During the meeting, a powerpoint presentation on the various initiatives of mission youth was given by the concerned.
The Chairperson said that the Government is ardent about the empowerment of youth and as such several schemes have been launched from time to time for their betterment. The DDC Vice Chairperson, Ashaq Ahmed asked the concerned from the KVIB, NABARD and other sponsoring agencies to give wide publicity to the different types of loan assistance schemes to encourage the youth to set up their own business units for their socioeconomic growth.
The ADDC informed that the live demonstration of the online registrations of youth on mission youth portal has been conducted for smooth registration at the Youth Club level.
The Chairperson asked the concerned to take extra measures for effective implementation of the self-employment schemes. She asked the departments to reach out to the deserving registered youth of the youth clubs to encourage them to take benefit of the schemes. She directed all concerned officers to organise awareness camps regarding Livelihood Generation/Skill Training/sponsored schemes etc so that youth can avail the benefits.
