Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 12: United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has lambasted Altaf Bukhari, President J&K Apni Party for announcing that his party promises to provide 300 electricity units free to the people of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory if the people voted his party to power.
In a statement issued to media here today, Rajiv Mahajan, Convener UDA lambasted Bukhari for trying to befool the people with the promise never to be fulfilled. Mahajan questioned that why Bukhari did not take this step when he was the Finance Minister in the previous regime of the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir.
The UDA Convener lamented that what could be more ironic than the fact that the statement comes from a former finance minister who is supposed to know that freebies are most deterrent to a healthy and robust economy. He said that people of J&K are wise enough and don't want freebies.
