District Administration Kishtwar braces for Door to Door vaccination drive

KISHTWAR, Sept 12: The district administration today finalized the modalities for conduct of the door to door vaccination drive for left out persons. This was decided in a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma.
ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma, ACR Kishtwar Akhter Hussain Qazi, ACD Kishtwar Kishore Singh Katoch, SDM paddar Varunjeet Singh Charak, CMO Kishtwar Dr R S Manhas, District Immunization Officer Dr. Chander Prakash besides Tehsildars, DBOs, BMOs and the Community Service Centre officials and others remained present in the meeting.
District Immunization Officer Kishtwar informed about the progress made in the COVID protection and said that out of 1, 74,970 persons, 1, 11,242 have been inoculated for the first dose whereas 63,728 persons have been left out.
The DC Kishtwar also reviewed the status of the registration under PMJAY-SEHAT scheme. In the meeting threadbare discussion regarding the modalities to cover the left out age appropriate persons under both the schemes were held and a slew of directions were passed to the concerned officers.
All the Tehsildars were asked to furnish panchayat specific list of the teams with their members by tomorrow which shall be deputed to conduct the vaccination in each panchayat on mass mode basis so that the 100 percent vaccination shall be completed by 25th of September in a scheduled manner.
CMO Kishtwar was asked to conduct special vaccination camp in the premises of the Colleges and schools to ensure the 100% vaccination of the students and staff members of these colleges and schools above 18 years who are going for in-person class work after due permissions.
ADC Kishtwar who has been appointed as the Nodal officer for the implementation and enforcement of COVID Appropiate Behaviour across the district was asked to ensure the monitoring of the implementation of the CAB in the public places and in these educational institutions permitted to conduct the in-person classes besides was asked to strengthen the check Nakkas at entry points of the District to ensure safety of people.
