Wazir Murder Case: Has Crime Branch got a lead after questioning Raju?

Jammu, Sept 14: Two days after a handwritten ‘confession’ note of one Harmeet Singh, alleged killer of National Conference leader Trilochan Singh Wazir has gone viral on social media, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Tuesday ‘detained’ a Jammu resident in connection with this high-profile ‘mysterious’ murder.
As per sources a Jammu resident namely Rajendra Chaudhary has been detained because, on the day of the crime, Chaudhary’s electronic location is shown to be on the place of crime.
“The Crime Branch has detained a man person named Rajendra Chaudhary, who is a resident of Jammu. During the investigation, the location of Chaudhary was tracked to the place of crime on the day Wazir was murdered,” sources said. The day Wazir came to Delhi, Chaudhary was the one who brought his luggage from Jammu.
Now the biggest question is who is Rajinder Choudhary and why was his role in this high-profile murder?
Highly placed sources said that Rajinder Choudhary alias ‘Raju’ a resident of Ramgarh, presently putting up at Vijaypur was spotted in CCTV footage with two other local youth of Samba.
“For the last one month, Raju was ‘missing’ from his house”, sources said and added that he has informed his family that he was in Mumbai for some business.
“After he was spotted along with Trilochan Singh Wazir at Delhi airport, Crime Branch of Delhi Police was looking for him”, sources said and added that for the last three days Delhi Police was trying to search Raju and ultimately cops located him and started questioning. “After a four-hour-long questioning, he has been detained by the Crime Branch”, sources said and added that on Tuesday sleuths of Crime Branch conducted raids at four places in Jammu.
Meanwhile, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has started the verification of a viral handwritten note, a photo of which was posted on the Facebook account of Harmeet Singh, an accused in the murder of Wazir.
According to the police, Singh has allegedly confessed to the crime in the post which went viral on social media.
Delhi Police Crime Branch said that it is verifying that whether the note was uploaded from Singh’s Facebook account or a new account was created for this in his name.
Delhi Police also interrogated the family of another accused in the case, Harpreet Singh, in Jammu.
On Friday, the FIR registered by Delhi Police in connection with Wazir’s murder was transferred to the crime branch.
As per the neighbours of the absconding accused Harpreet Singh, he was operating a new channel named ‘Sadda Haq’ from the apartment.
Earlier, on Friday, the Delhi Police had launched a search operation to nab suspects– Harpreet and Harmeet– in the murder case.
