POONCH, Sept 16: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting of District Level Committee on Forest Rights Act to review the progress regarding the disposal of FRA claims in the district. DDC Member, Mandi, Atiqa Jan, DDC Member, Mendhar, Mia Farooq Ahmed were present in the meeting while DDC Member, Ch. Shanawaz participated in the meeting through online. DFO, Mohan Choudhary, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zahir Ahmed Kaifi,ACP, Shafiq Ahmed, District Tribal welfare officer, Head Quarter Assistant, Jahangir Hussain, Tehsildar Haveli, Bashir Anjum Khatak, District Social Welfare Officer, Shakeel Ahmed and other concerned were also present in the meeting. In the meeting, 50 claims pertaining to Forest Right Act were taken up, out of which 21 claims were approved, while the meeting decided to take up the remaining 29 cases in the next meeting. The concerned also apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the number of claims (individual/ community) in the meeting. |
