National Drug Safety week celebrated at GMC Jammu

JAMMU, Sept 17: ADRM Centre, Department of Pharmacology, GMC Jammu, which is operational in this institution since Dec 2010 and working under Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, National Coordination Centre, Pharmacovigilance Programme of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India, Sector-23, Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad-201002, started their celebrations today for National Pharmacovigilance (Drug Safety ) Week wef 17th -23rd September, 2021.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students participated and contributed in their own way to create awareness among public and among peers regarding drug safety by participating in poster making competition. Students will also take out Slogan march and department of pharmacology is also conducting National CME on drug Safety on 18th sept 2021. All these activities are primarily focused to create Public awareness regarding drug safety and for educational purposes of our faculty members, doctors, Undergraduate and Post graduate students in the field of drug and patient safety. Dr Subash Bardwaj HOD Pathology & Dr Rajiv Gupta HOD PSM GMC Jammu honoured the department by being judged of the said event. The prize and certification of participation shall be distributed by Chief Guest of these National Celebrations on Drug safety being conducted at GMC Jammu. Chief Guest of the said event, Dr Sashi Sudhan Sharma, Principal Dean GMC Jammu congratulated, Dr Seema Gupta Professor and Head Department of Pharmacology GMC Jammu and Dr Vishal Tandon In-charge ADRM Centre for conducting such an important scientific event for the benefit of our faculty, doctors, Graduate and postgraduate students which will go long way in generating sense of responsibility and commitment in rational drug prescription.
