JAMMU, Sep 17: Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust has hailed the historic decision of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for implementing the Forest Rights Act-2006 in JK. Shah Mohammad Chowdhary, Advocate, Chairman of the Trust while addressing the press conference here today thanked Narendra Modi, Prime Minister, Manoj Sinha, Farooq Khan, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor and Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Secretary Tribal Affairs. Chowdhary said that complete implementation of the Forest Act will certainly change the fate of Tribal population of J&K. He said that though the Forest Act came to be enacted by the Parliament in 2006, but its benefits were denied by the successive political dispensations to the Tribals of J&K even after 14 years
