| Idol of Lord Hanuman installed at Shiv Mandir Vivekananda Chowk | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 19: An idol of Lord Hanuman was installed at Shiv Mandir, Vivekananda Chowk managed by Mahadev Yuva Mandali Baba Puniya Puri Samadhi Shiv Mandir Trust.
The murti sthapna (idol installation) was done by Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta, Deputy Mayor JMC Purnima Sharma and Councillor JMC Ritu Choudhary.
After the murti sthapna, Hawan was organized which was further followed by langar distribution by the dignitaries and the management committee of the Shiv Temple, Vivekananda Chowk.
Speaking on the occasion, Chander Mohan Gupta said that during the past, he felt sad after seeing that the temple is being encroached by some violators and nuisance causing elements of the society but now the temple has been made free from the encroachers and today we are installing the idol of Lord Hanuman in this temple.
Speaking on the occasion, Purnima Sharma said that on the auspicious occasion of the Ganesh Mahotsav, hawan and langar was organized and Hanuman ji's idol was installed in Shiv Temple, Vivekanand Chowk to celebrate this auspicious occasion.
At the end, the Chairman and all members of the Mahadev Yuva Mandali Baba Puniya Puri Samadhi Shiv Mandir Trust thanked the respected dignitaries for sparing their precious time and joining them in the celebration of this auspicious occasion. |
