| Awareness camp held at AWC Hunjalla | | |  Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Sept 23: In continuation to activities under Rashtriya Poshan Maah- 2021, an awareness camp was today held here at Anganwari Centre Hunjalla.
CDPO Kishtwar, Iffat Ara alongwith concerned Supervisor Shehnaz Nazir, Health and Nutrition Mobilizer Mohsin Doolwal and Nehru Yuva Kendra Kishtwar Volunteer Veena Kumari attended the camp.
ICDS beneficiaries including pregnant ladies, lactating mothers and children were present on the occasion.
Women and adult girls were made aware about the importance of consumption of nutritious and balanced diet, and maintenance of hygiene. They were also educated regarding the hazardous health effects due to deficient intake of micro and macro nutrients during pregnancy and lactation.
Importance of Poshan Vatika and yoga asanas were also discussed with the stakeholders.
To identify Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), and Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) children, weight and height of children was plotted and mothers were acknowledged on spot about growth of their kids.
Food Kits were distributed among the beneficiaries. All the participants were served with refreshment and the camp concluded with a vote of thanks. |
