Opposition is equally responsible for ruining Jammu’s business
10/11/2021 12:04:47 AM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 10: Amid prevailing anger among different sections of the society, Congress is trying to encash the situation but the whole opposition is equally responsible for the prevailing situation in the Jammu region.
Although peace is imperative for growth and development, for the last one year business community of Jammu province is facing the worst situation due to policies of the present dispensation. It is all due to the failure of the opposition parties that business has been completely ruined in Jammu province.
After enjoying power for years together, opposition parties have lost the habit of protesting. Except few, all Congress leaders are also drawing-room politicians because they are still treating themselves in power.
On the condition of anonymity, a prominent businessman of Jammu said that the J&K government’s policies proved more destructive than deadly Coronavirus for the business community of Jammu province. “Opposition parties never come for the rescue of the business community of Jammu from the wrath of bureaucrats who are hell-bent to break the backbone of the economy of Jammu to give benefit to the non-local mafia”, he said and added that it appears that some Babus have doled out license to the non-local mafia to take control of the whole business of Jammu to render Jammu business community jobless.
It was all due to the failure of opposition parties that the helpless business community was forced to call for Jammu bandh. “None of the opposition leaders has taken our genuine issue seriously so we were forced to give a call for Jammu Bandh on September 22”, he said and observed that the situation is worsening with every passing day due to the arrogant attitude of a section of bureaucracy.
Youth hesitating to initiate start-up
As most of the established businessmen are the victims of the pro-mafia policies of the incumbent J&K government, the youth of Jammu province are hesitating to initiate any ‘start-ups’. The way the incumbent government is dealing business community during the last year, there is a feeling among youth that this regime is only here to encourage the mafia in all fields to they are not interested to initiate any start-up.
