Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 5: Lauding the huge contribution of skilled and unskilled work force, former MLA and BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today said the construction workers were great source of national integration with their presence beyond boundaries of their native places.
"Like elsewhere in the country, the construction workers portray a mini India in Jammu and Kashmir with some coming from far away Bihar, UP, Billaspur etc", Rana said while flagging off a Vishawkarma Rally at Katra to commemorate Vishwa Karma Day.
He said Vishwa Karma represents the universal ethos of the Sanatan Dharma 'Vasudeva Kutumbkam' and it is heartening that given their skill they are making presence of India felt in every part of the world by dint of their determination and vision. They are the builders of the nation and contributing even in the building of the entire world', he said while saluting the valour and hard work of the workers.
Rana hoped that the workers from Jammu and Kashmir as also from other parts of the country will continue to contribute in the development in this part of the country-be in the government sector or the private sector. He said the workers from here and outside are complement and supplement to each other and inspiration to all for working in all the conditions.
He greeted the workers for giving dignity to labour and building a new Jammu and Kashmir as shinning part of India, the emerging world leader. He hoped the occasion to be observed with gaiety and fervor in true spirit of the glorious ethos of Jammu.
Organised by Vishwa Karma Committee and Mazdoor Dastkar Union, the Janki was attended by Som Nath Khajuria, Dharamveer Singh Jamwal, Angrez Singh besides large number of people, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
The other speakers also greeted the people on Vishwa Karma Day and called upon the workers to continue to contribute in the development of the country with grit and dignity they are known for.
Rana complimented the organizers, President Jugal Kishore, Vice President Raj Kumar Verma and the other members including Mohammed Munshi, Ashok Kumar, Mohammed Iqbal, Dev Raj (General Secretary), Ramanand, Raj Kumar and Deep Kumar.
