Situation in Kashmir is entirely different and bad: Mehbooba
11/8/2021 10:58:04 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Nov 8: Former Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Monday alleged that the situation in Kashmir valley is entirely different and bad.
Talking to media persons here she said, “if the situation is alright, why more and more CRPF troops are being brought to the valley”. She said people are feeling suffocated in the atmosphere created by the law and order agencies.
“What was the need to create a separate SIA (State Investigation Agency) when there were already NIA”, she said.
The J&K government recently ordered the constitution of SIA for speedy and effective investigation and prosecution of militancy related cases.
The former Chief Minister said that on the one hand it was being claimed that the situation here was fine and other the other hand new laws were being introduced.
Mehbooba said employees were being fired and some dismissed prematurely. “These people became themselves and also lawyers”,
She said that farmers are angry with the government and in future people will also express their anger and BJP will have to take the nails of conscience.
On a question when she was asked if the ventilators sent here turned out to be faulty, she said not only here but also in Gujarat where ventilators sent from Prime Ministers Care fund turned out to be faulty.
“There is a great corruption in the Prime Minister’s Care Fund”, she alleged and added it is being run with a sophisticated system without any accountability and not being made to public” Mehbooba alleged.
Mehbooba said, before the visit of Home Minister Amit Shah, thousands of youth were arrested and put into jails for their no fault and the trend is still going on.
“People are being silenced with suppression and they call it peace”, Mehbooba said.
She said, the authorities have become self judges and lawyers, whatever they want doing very easily—dismissing employees and retiring them prematurely—without any discretion.
