Early Times Report

Sunderbani, Nov 19: Some miscreants in Batadalla area of Makol Panchayat allegedly obstructed ongoing construction work of 18-km Makol-Hattal road on Friday.
According to the reports, construction work on the Makol-Hattal road under Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), was going on smoothly for the past couple of months, but recently some miscreants forcibly obstructed the work.
“Some miscreants at Batadalla forced the workers to discontinue the work, alleging that the contractor is not using appropriate dimension for the macdamization,” said locals, adding that the miscreants are unnecessarily interrupting the work process by leveling ‘false’ and ‘fabricated’ allegations.
Locals asserted that this road would have benefited many villages in the area but miscreants are hell bent to derail the development process.
They urged administration to take strict action against the miscreants, who had taken the entire panchayat as hostage to serve their vested interests.
On the receipt of information, Assistant Executive Engineer and Junior Engineer of PMGSY reached the spot and talked to the miscreants. They warned them that if they obstruct the work again, they shall be booked under relevant laws.
