BJP pays tributes to Rani Lakshmi Bai on her birth anniversary

JAMMU, Nov 19: BJP leaders paid tributes to India's iconic freedom fighter, the Queen of Jhansi, Rani Lakshmi Bai to commemorate her birth anniversary. The programme was organized at District BJP headquarters where former minister and ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) along with other leaders including District President Munish Khajuria, senior party leaders Ayodhya Gupta and Praduman Singh, District General Secretary Karan Sharma and others paid tributes to her.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that Rani Lakshmi Bai holds a special place in the history of India and her bravery will not be forgotten by generations. He said whenever there is talk about the revolution of 1857, the courage and valour of Rani Lakshmi Bai will be remembered with great respect.
Munish Khajuria said that she was an icon of unparalleled courage and bravery and she infused a great energy into the freedom movement which was required at that time. He also said that the nation is indebted to her work and bravery.
Ayodhya and Praduman talked about the freedom struggle of 1857 and said that at a very tender age, Rani Lakshmi Bai sacrificed herself for the nation and said that she became an icon for the Indian liberation movement against the British Raj for the entire country.
Ajay Manhas, Raman Sharma, Satyabhushan Dubey, Jai Singh Chib, Sanjay Bhat, Naveen Sharma, Anupam Gupta, Madan Lal, Ravi Dutta, Lovely Singh, Sumanyu Gupta, Abhishek Sharma, Karan Banotra, Nitish Kumar and several others were also present.
