Doda admin discusses modalities for implementation of 10-point campaign on Good Governance

DODA, Nov 19: District Administration Doda today discussed modalities for implementation of the 10-point campaign on Good Governance here at a meeting of the district heads of line departments chaired by District Development Commissioner, Vikas Sharma.
The meeting discussed the measures to be taken for the effective implementation of the 10 point campaign/instructions prescribed by the UT administration for each district.
The DDC said that there shall be a renewed push to the implementation of employment and other beneficiary oriented schemes through effective implementation of 10 Point Campaign.
Speaking at the meeting, the DDC exhorted all concerned line departments to ensure effective implementation of flagship and other government schemes at the grassroots level. The district administration will launch a public participatory campaign to raise awareness and highlight the schemes being implemented to empower the common man, the DC said.
The DDC said that the 10 point campaign underlines targeted delivery of health insurance among the rural population, quantifiable Panchayat-wise self employment, IEC activities on JJM, besides making government processes more transparent, easily accessible, to encourage people's participation in development process and corruption-free, clean governance.
During the meeting, each point prescribed by the UT administration was discussed in detail and comprehensive strategies have been formulated to implement the same at the grassroots level with the effective coordination of concerned departments and PRI members.
Discussing the "Yogyata Se Rozgar Mahotsav" the DDC directed the concerned to organise a program in the weekly block diwas falling on December 1, 2021 at district headquarters and in each sub division to felicitate the Class IV selected candidates by the concerned DDC/BDC Chairpersons, SDMs, besides on "Janta ki scheme-Janta ki bhagidari."
The DDC directed the DPO Doda to organize demonstrations on the link to the PRI members during the ongoing capacity building programme so that the aim of bringing transparency in the functioning of the departments was achieved.
With regard to "One person one golden card" (registration and distribution of Golden cards), the DDC directed the CMO to submit a list of 20-30 potential quality VLEs to put them on the task for achieving 100% coverage. Besides, he asked to block the IDs of non performing VLEs to replace them with unemployed youth.
On "Har Ghar Dastak" the DDC directed the CMO to ensure administering of the second covid dose on the due date. In addition to this, the DC asked the CMO to put hoardings at prominent public places across the district highlighting the names and numbers of the control room and Officials who shall record the grievances regarding overcharging of registration under SEHAT.
Similarly, for "Har Ghar Nal Se Jal" the DDC asked the Jal Shakti department to launch extensive IEC activities including installation of big hoardings reflecting the aims and objectives of the scheme.
The executive agencies were asked to expedite tendering of works and complete the process before November 30, and start execution by the end of December under "Har kaam ki shuruwaat" campaign.
On "Har Gaon Haryali", the DDC directed the forest department to start the plantation drive at Panchayat level in coordination with the PRI members. It was decided that a grand plantation drive will be launched on coming Saturday across the district. The department was asked to nominate a nodal officer who will coordinate the activities and publicize the events.
