JAMMU, Nov 19: NSS unit of GGM Science College under the patronage of Principal Dr Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO, Dr Deepali Mahajan observed National Integration Day with the oath at 11 am in the oval garden in the college campus. "I solemnly pledge to work with dedication to preserve and strengthen the freedom and integrity of the nation." "I further affirm that I shall never resort to violence and that I will continue to endeavour towards settlement of all differences and disputes relating to religion, language, region or other political or economic grievances by peaceful and constitutional means." About 50 volunteers took pledge along with NSS PO, Dr Deepali Mahajan. The purpose behind celebrating this day is to preserve in the minds of the people, the beauty of unity in diversity in the socio-culturally rich country. Anchal Singh, NSS volunteer has been selected this year for National Integration Camp at Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak representing the only male student from Cluster University of Jammu. |
