GDC Vijaypur celebrates National Integration Day

VIJAYPUR, Nov 19: National Integration Day is celebrated on November 19 every year to mark the birth anniversary of the first woman Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The day is also known as Quami Ekta Diwas which promotes harmony in diversity as Indian society in terms of culture, languages, religions, geographical aspects etc shows wide diversity. To commemorate the day and in continuation to the sequel of events organized under the banner of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav ", NSS unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur organized an online national level poster making competition with the aim to encourage, motivate and inspire people and aware the masses about unity, peace, love, brotherhood and to develop a sense in the youth to mix up, understand and encourage each other to work in a group. Students from various Institutions across the Nation participated with great zeal, enthusiasm and fervor; relishing the competition, vital information and enriching ideas disseminated.
The first position was shared by Kavya Charak and Kajal Choudhary of GDC Vijaypur; second position was shared by Mohit Verma of GDC Kathua and Manvir Kour of GDC Vijaypur while the third position was shared by Palvi of GCW Gandhinagar, Jammu and Anjali Kaste of GDC Vijaypur. Consolations were given to Shalu Jangral of GDC Kathua, Tania Sharma of GDC Vijaypur and Aashish Chauhan of DCRUST University, Haryana.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. The event was coordinated by Dr Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS PO) and adjudicated by Dr Shittal Sharma and Prof Anil Bhagat. E-certificates were awarded to all the winners.
