JKMEF seeks fullfillment of agreed demands

JAMMU, Nov 20: A Protest Dharna of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation Jammu was held today under the Chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, President JKMEF, Member PCI at Director Health Complex Jammu for not honoring the agreement with the Govt which was inked on 06-08-2021 at Srinagar in the presence of then Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Health and Medical Education Atal Dulloo , Dr.Renu Sharma Director Health Services Jammu and officers of Administrative department of Civil Secretariat Srinagar.
The Govt on 06-08-2021 accepted our demands of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of Health Employees and promised to conduct it within 15 days but now after the lapse of 4 months nothing has been done so far the health employees suffering a lot.
Furthermore, during the covid-19 pandemic His Excellency L.G of UT Jammu & Kashmir rewarded the services of doctors and Paramedical staff and in-light of this sanctioned rewarding amount @Rs 10,000 for doctors, Rs 7000 for paramedical staff and Rs 5,000 for drivers and class IV employees vide Govt. order no.360 JK (HME) of 2021 dated 04-05-2021 but till date not even a single health warrior is rewarded and order of the Govt yet to get wings.
While addressing the Dharna Sushil Sudan urged the Government as well as Director Heath Services Jammu to conduct DPC as the earliest and if the Government fail to conduct DPC of Health Employees we will further launch our protest with full mighty force mean while keeping the present scenario of covid -19 and enhancement in positive cases the proposed chain hunger strike on 23-11-2021 is suspended temporarily.
Other who addressed the gathering are S. Dharminder Singh, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, Dheeraj Sharma, Anita Bhagat, Kamal Jit Sawhney, Ved Paul Saini, Pawan Singh Jamwal, Meema Devi, Jag Dutt Sharma, Bhannu, Mukhtar Kohli, Madan Lal Sharma, Daleep Ch, Shaffkat Hussain, Irshad Ahmed and others.
