Jammu, Nov 20: Jammu’s well known contemporary artist Suman Gupta, s paintings have been included amongst few selected artists for a major group show at Helsinki in Finland. The two month long ongoing international exhibition which opened at Helsinki include the works of some great contemporary Indian, American and Finish artists which shall remain open till December 23d, 2021.Suman Gupta is the lone participants from India amongst the few artists that has been handpicked from all the major disciplines of contemporary art .The show is being curated by a finish artist and curator Maija Yla Sahra. Suman Gupta’sfive new works created in the recent time has been part of this show, his subjects are mostly consisting of the elements taken from nature, human dwellers in his immediate surroundings, His deftness brings attention to these simple forms, encouraging the viewer to re-examine the presence of these objects in these specially created sensitive work in magic realism. |
