REASI, Nov 20: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Reasi, Jyoti Slathia today conducted IEC campaign here at Bidda and Agar Ballian Panchayats.
ACR Sanjay Badayal, Block Development Officer Reasi and field staff of RDD besides PRI members also attended the twin camps.
During the camps, a series of IEC awareness activities were held including live demonstration and on-site inspection of the land records of the people. Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that the Information, Education and Communication ( IEC ) activities are meant to sensitize the common masses about the “Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani” Land Record Information System (LRIS) launched by the J&K Government.
During the IEC activities, hands-on-training was also given to people regarding use of mobile phones to view land records online. The officials and PRIs were asked to educate the people as trainers at Panchayat level, who will further help people to access land records and also educate them about IEC.
Meanwhile, PRIs and the general public put forth their demands and issues of their respective areas.
Responding to the demands and issues, the ADDC assured them that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner.
