JAMMU, Nov 20: Procurement center of FCI was inaugurated at Mattu village in the Chhamb assembly constituency. SDM Khour Anil Kumar Thakur and Congress leader Bharat priye were present as the chief guest.
Priye said that the farmers here will now get a lot of relief due to the opening of paddy procurement center in Khour block.
Earlier, the farmers here had to go to remote areas to sell their crops, due to which their time was wasted and the rent was also high.
There was a long standing demand of the people that a paddy procurement center should be opened in Khour block.
Priye said that he had been working hard for a long time to open a paddy procurement center here. Finally, with the cooperation of the people, this center has opened here today. Now farmers of border areas will be able to sell crops in their own areas.
