JKAACL Sub Office organises multilingual Mushaira at Doda

DODA, Nov 26: In Connection with the celebrations of 75 years of India' s Independence under the aegis of 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav' and to mark Constitution Day, a Multilingual Mushaira was organised by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Sub Office Doda under theme 'Beauty of Indian Constitutional Values' at Town Hall Doda today. Renowned poets from all over Chenab Valley participated in the poetic symposium and enthralled the audience by their poetry written in different languages and local dialects. In his welcome address, Special Officer Cultural Activities Doda, Slah-Ud-Din Tahir welcomed the Poets and others present in the programme. He also highlighted the importance of celebrating Constitution Day and threw light on various provisions of the Constitution which make India truly democratic and secular. The Mushaira was presided over by renowned Poet of the UT Abdul Qayoum Sagar Sehraie and Mohammad Ashraf Wani, District Information Officer Doda was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The literary event was organised on the directions of Secretary Academy Rahul Pandey and under guidance of Sanjeev Rana, Additional Secretary Central.
