CLUJ organises ‘Nadi Ko Jano’ Webinar

Jammu, Nov 26: Department of Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu in collaboration with Research and Resurgence Foundation (RFRF) organized a webinar on “NadiKoJano-Know your rivers” under the patronage of Prof. BechanLal, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Cluster University of Jammu.
“NadiKoJano” is a nationwide campaign being organized by Research and Resurgence Foundation (RFRF) in association with universities and institutions to know and create a database on Indian rivers.
At the outset, Prof. Twinkle Suri, Dean Students welfare, Cluster University of Jammu gave a formal welcome address exhorting that the campaign provides an innovative platform to our young learners to understand and collect local, water level, and pollution level data of the rivers.Prof. BechanLal, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Cluster University of Jammu presided over the event.
In his address, he sensitized the students regarding the importance of rivers and necessity for crowd sourcing of real time data on rivers. Dr Ashish Pandey, IIT Bombay was the keynote speaker of the webinar. He highlighted the importance of rivers in the life of humanity.
He explained the reason behind connecting students and general masses with this program and encouraged teachers to play a pivotal role in saving the rivers in general and society in particular.
The webinar was attended by Deans of faculties,students, teachers and dignitaries across the nation. Dr. Revika Arora, Cultural coordinator, Cluster University of Jammu conducted the proceedings of the webinar and Dr. Vishal Sharma, Assistant Professor M. A. M. College, also Programme Coordinator presented the formal vote of thanks.
