| GDC Basantgarh organises Video making competition | | |

Jammu, Dec 3: Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of Govt. Degree College Dudu Basantgarh under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav has organized intra-college Video Making competition among the students of the college on World AIDS day.
World AIDS day was firstly observed in 1st December 1988. Since then, every year, various organizations across the world bring the attention to the HIV virus and endeavor to increase awareness among the people. On this event, students of the college participated actively in video making competition. Principal of the college Dr. B.C. Anthal addressed the students and aware them about this deadly disease. He also guided the students to spread awareness among the people regarding HIV virus in their localities. The competition was judged by the jury members Prof. Rahul Sharma, Dr. Ravi Kumar and Prof. Anju Devi.
The first position was bagged by Varinder Singh of Semester 5th. Shabnam Banoo of Semester 5th got Second position and Harish Chander of Semester 5th bagged third position. Principal of the college distributed cash prizes to the winners of the competition. The vote of thanks was given by Prof. Pardeep Kumar Kundal, Nodal Officer of the Red Ribbon Club. |
