JAMMU, Dec 4: Women team of GGM Science College and MAM College’s Men team lifted the Inter-Collegiate Basketball trophy in the Basketball (Men & Women) tournament organized by the Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) at MA Stadium. In the final match, Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, J&K Sports Council was the chief guest.
In Men’s section, MAM College beat GGM Science College by 24-21, Mananyabir of GGM Science College and Puneet of MAM College scored 10 and 12 points respectively.
In women section, GGM Science College beat SPMR College of Commerce by 25-04, Tejaswini Khajuria was the highest scorer for GGM Science College who scored 12 points.
The tournament was played under the overall supervision of Dr Vinod Bakshi, Sports Coordinator CLUJ and Physical Director GGM Science College Jammu.
Prof Rubina Yasmeen, Prof Shapia Shameem Bhatti, Prof Seema Kumari, Aijaz Malik, Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce, Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director MAM College Jammu, Dr Roopali Slathia, Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar College, media persons and participants of the sports events were present on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Amanjot Singh, Jaskirat Singh, Sachin, Parveen, Abhinav Sharma, Sushma Jamwal and Gurdeep Singh. |
