Kathua, Dec 4: Intensifying its action against drug menace within the District, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal JKPS today recovered 11 bottles of "Cadizrex Cough Syrup" like contraband, 35 No's of SPR-PRX intoxicating capsules, 02 Pistols, 01 Sharp edged toka alongwith cash amount of Rs. 81800/- was also seized in the J/D of PS Kathua and arrested one person involved. According to police reports on December 3, 2021 a team of P/S Kathua led by Insp O P Chib during patrolling duty at Changran, Chak Desa Singh area when reached near Panchayat Ghar Badala, Kathua noticed one suspected person namely Kuldeep Singh S/o Puran Chand R/o Changran Kathua who tried to conceal himself after seeing the police party.
On physical checking, 02 Pistols, 01 Toka(Sharp Edged), 01Polythene containing 11 bottles of "Cadizrex Cough Syrup" (100ml each), 35 No's of SPR-PRX intoxicating capsules alongwith cash amount of Rs. 81800/- were recovered from his illegal possession.The said person was later on arrested by the police party alongwith recovered items, contraband and cash amount was seized. In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 509/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act, 4/7/25 Arms Act got registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation taken up. |
