JAMMU, Dec 14: Department of Commerce, in collaboration with UGC-HRDC, University of Jammu (JU), organized a Five-day workshop on Research Methodology for Faculty and Research Scholars in the Departmental Seminar hall with the objective of acquainting Scholars with Research Methodologies and Tools. The workshop’s first day addressed fundamental research concepts in order to elucidate things for newcomers to the field of Research. The scholars were enthusiastic about the workshop and gained both theoretical as well as practical knowledge about research methodology. In the first session, Prof. Manoj Kumar, Director, IIM, Jammu gave a presentation about key concepts in Research and the steps that must be performed during the Research process by differentiating between normative and descriptive accounts of the research process. He offered an in-depth explanation of the various measurement techniques and scales that are employed in research. In the meanwhile, Prof S.K Pandita, Director, HRDC complimented Department for organizing the workshop of great relevance and thanked Director, IIM for accepting the invitation and delivering the inaugural address.
Prof. Hardeep Chahal, HoD and Coordinator of the said workshop formally welcomed the resource person and the participants and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mamta Bogale, Ph.D. Scholar. Dr. Jeevan Jyoti and Dr. Harleen, Workshop Deputy Coordinator was also present for the session. |
