| Programme on ‘Media and Community Mobilization’ held | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 14: A programme under the Samagra Shiksha on the subject ‘Media and Community Mobilization’ was held at SRML Parade under the chairmanship of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Jammu, Haneef Mohd Hackla on the directions of state Project Director Samagra Shiksha and under the guidance of Chief Education Officer (CEO) Jammu, Suraj Singh Rathore. The programme was attended by the JMC Councillors Anil Masoom Ward No 10, Narotam Sharma Ward No 3, Gopal Gupta Ward No 5, Ravi Angral former Councillor, Dr Surjeet Singh Coordinator Good Governance Jammu West Ward No 8, Principal SRML Anjali Gupta and all HOI’s from PS to HSS. The main agenda of the programme was to highlight the interventions of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA and other initiatives of School Education Department (SED) in J&K.
Zonal Education Officer spoke at length about the different schemes launched by the SED and the different components which includes MDM, DBT in favour of each and every students, enrollment of students with the help of local community members, SMC/SMDC, distribution of dry rice and books at the door steps of every children, online education to the students right from 1st to class 12th as per the guidelines of Government from time to time and many others.
Councillors of different wards while speaking on the occasion appreciated in one voice the role of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA and also praised the Zonal Education Officer in organizing this programme. The programme was anchored by Kuldeep Singh Bandral.
