JAMMU, Dec 17: The Jammu University Internal Complaints Committee Against Sexual harassment (JUICCASH) organized an awareness and sensitization session on 'Prevention of sexual harassment at workplace'.
Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar presided over the session as Chief Guest.
Prof. Jasrotia in his expert remarks emphasized how behaviour of parties can be used as a piece of apt evidence in complaints proceedings.
Prof. Alka Sharma, presiding officer, JUICCASH in her introductory address briefed the participants about the internal complaints committee and its mandate.
In her keynote address, Advocate Meenu Padha, through a power point presentation, apprised the student-participants regarding the background of the PoSH legislation. She highlighted Jammu University’s policy against sexual harassment was also specifically highlighted. |
