Tajinder Singh said Covi-19 new variant Omicron threat is looming at large and it is the responsibility of all to avoid overloading in buses and mini buses and traffic police put their strict vigilance on these overloaded passenger vehicles. It has been observed that mini buses remain overloaded in peak hours but no body from the concerned department check this menace on the routes of these buses. Tajinder said the drivers of these buses sometimes indulge in rash driving caring least for the lives of passengers as the number of accidents taking place shows the gross violation of traffic rules on the roads of J&K by these buses and commercial vehicles. "The sudden rise of Covid-19 cases after remaining low for two to three months is matter of concern for the peoples and it's observed that these buses remain packed with passengers caring hoots for social distancing," Tajinder Singh added. |
