New Delhi, Dec 27: Sh. Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager Northern Railway conducted an inspection of the Saharanpur-Moradabad section of the Moradabad Division today. The GM was accompanied by Sh. Ajay Nandan, Divisional Railway Manager, Moradabad Division, Principal Heads of Department, Northern Railway and senior officers of the Division. The GM initiated his inspection from Balia Khedi. He inspected the station area, yard and the railway colony and also inaugurated the newly renovated RPF Barrak. Moving by a special train the entourage stopped at level crossing gate no 521 between Chidiyala and Ikbalpur and Bridge no. 1282 Dn before reaching Roorkee. At Roorkee the GM inspected the station, and the staff colony. GM stopped at Fazalpur station enroute to Najibabad. On reaching Najibabad the GM inspected the station, washing pit for train cleaning, running room for drivers, health center, yard and a level crossing near the station. He also inspected a newly upgraded Ist AC coach in which several passenger conducive features have been introduced. The GM reached Dhampur inspecting the track and other rail structures enroute. Here he visited the station and witnessed a demonstration on the working of the bio-vacuum toilet. An exhibition put up by different departments. A Nukkad Natak was also staged on the occasion. The GM announced cash awards for exemplary performance to Sh. Bindu Singh, Gateman, Roorkee, Md. Yunus, Mate/Gang Ikbalpur, Sh. S. K. Verma, Station Superintendent, Roorkee and Sh. Mohan Singh, Senior Section Engineer/ Works, Roorkee. Addressing a press meet the GM and informed the media persons about the Rail infrastructure and developmental works on-going in the region. He assured them that Railways is committed to complete these projects on time so that all can benefit from them. |
