Four JeM militants charge-sheeted by Court of Special Judge NIA

JAMMU, Jan 6: The Jammu Police today produced a challan in the Court of Special Judge NIA against three Jaish-e-Mohammed militants who were caught by police for smuggling arms.
The facts of the case are that on 11-07-2021, information was received in P/S Gangyal to the effect that some trucks with registration numbers of Kashmir valley involved in transportation of illegal arms/ammunition and explosives from border area of Jammu to the Kashmir valley. One such truck bearing registration number JK13E-0211 owned and driven by one Muntazir Manzoor S/O Manzoor Ahmed Bhat R/O Prichoo Pulwama, who himself is a member of terrorist organization, is continuously indulging in transportation of arms/ ammunitions and explosive from border area of Jammu to Kashmir Valley, which are being dropped by Pakistan across the border through the help of drones.
These arms/ammunitions and explosives after transportation are further being used by the active terrorists operating in Kashmir valley. Instant case was registered at P/S Gangyal and investigation started. During the course of investigation the police in official vehicle left the P/S in search of the truck. During checking truck was intercepted at Purmandal Morh Naka. On questioning, the driver disclosed his name as Muntazir Manzoor and was brought to P/S Gangyal along with truck (tralla), where the above mentioned truck (Tralla) was seized and driver arrested.
A mobile phone was recovered, seized and sealed. Thereafter Muntazir was put to sustained examination. On his disclosure one pistol caliber 9MM without number/mark, one magazine of pistol, eight live rounds of pistol and two Chinese hand grenades were recovered from the cabin. He disclosed that he was in contact with one Abu Hamas in Pakistan. On 11-05-2021, Muntazir along with who identified Towseef Ahmad left from valley reached Jammu. On 12-05-2021 both the persons procured consignment ammunition from Abu Humas which were through drone.
Muntazir disclosed that on 13-5-2021 loaded iron from Bari Brahmana area his vehicle towards valley. Muntazir handed one rifle, pistol, two magazines to an unknown person.
Subsequently, SIT was constituted by DPO Jammu, vide endorsement CRB/2021/ 45090-96/DPOJ dated 23-07-2021 investigation the instant case. During further investigation and on disclosure accused Muntazir @ Saifulla pointing out proceeding were conducted place he picked consignment arms/ammunitions explosives 11-05-2021, which were dropped through drone from border Pakistan based handler. After completion of investigation, SDPO Gandhi Nagar Purshtom Mengi presented challan against Muntazir, Ijahar Khan @ Sonu Khan, Towseef Ahmed Shah @ Showket @ Adnan and Jahangir Ahmed Bhat.
