DC sets daily testing targets; calls for early revamping of Panchayat level centres

DODA, Jan 15: District Administration Doda has deputed a team of doctors for tele-consultation to facilitate positive patents amid the third wave of Corona pandemic.
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Sharma asked the Chief Medical Officer to widely publicize the contact details of the deputed doctors. The DC was chairing the meeting of key members of the Covid management Committee here at the DC office to review the Covid management in the district.
The DC, while reviewing the preparedness of Government Medical College Doda for dealing with the recent surge in the Covid-19, asked the management to revamp the patient care considering its bigger role. He further directed the concerned stakeholders from medical and administration sides to devise a fresh set of SOPs for the better patient care in the premier Health Institution.
The DC directed the CMO and GMC authorities to find out the space within the vicinity of the GMC to create a reception/help desk type facility where the patients/attendants can enquire or submit their grievances for timely response. The DC informed that a group of ten NYK/NYCs shall be deployed in the GMC to ensure covid management and implementation of CAB.
With regard to the surveillance of patients in home isolation and in GMC, the DC was informed that surveillance teams have been constituted across the town, besides in rural areas at sub centre level.
The DC directed the concerned to ensure close surveillance of the patients in the home isolation and ensure that covid kits are provided to everyone.
Further, the DC asked the CMO to direct the BMOs to conduct random inspections in the Covid care centres established at Panchayat level and submit the report today evening.
With regard to Covid testing the DC directed the concerned to conduct minimum 600 RTPCR and 4000 RAT tests daily for early detection and to curb the transmission.
Regarding the vaccination, the DC asked the CMO to cover the rest of schools by tomorrow to vaccinate all the students in the targeted age group. The Executive Office MC was asked to sanitize the public places including Government institutions on a regular basis.
The meeting was attended by SSP Doda, ACR Doda, CMO Doda, Tehsildar Doda, Tehsildar HQA, MO and I/C Community Medicine GMC Doda, EO MC Doda, District Epidemiologist besides other officials were also present.
