"Safety of Women" program concludes at SK Police academy Udhampur

JAMMU, Jan 15: 05 days training programme for Investigators on "Safety of Women" sponsored by BPR&D New Delhi which commenced on 10th of January 2022 at S.K. Police Academy Udhampur concluded on Saturday. Twenty (20) Police Officers of the rank of ASI to Dy.SP attended the training programme. The course was designed to accommodate investigation skills and knowledge of latest provisions of law including POCSO, JJ Act, IT Act, etc. To achieve the objective of the training programme, experienced guest speakers including Dr. Rashi Taggar, school of Business SMVDU Katra, Inspector Rakesh Sharma Cyber Police Station Jammu and Nayeem Abbas Hamdami, Jr. Cyber Consultant and faculty of the Academy shared their wide range of knowledge on the related subjects.
In the valediction, V.K Jamwal, JKPS, SSP Dy. Director (Outdoor) advised the participants to be sensitive towards women victims, adopting guidelines laid from time to time. He further said that the objectives of the course is to enhance capacity of the investigating officers. The course was coordinated by Shri Suraj Singh, Asstt. Director (Trg/R&D) and Shri Rakesh Manni, Inspector (Member faculty).
The eminent speakers from Academia and renowned Cyber Forensic experts shall be delivering lectures during the course. The audience was informed that organizing such courses is the endeavour of worthy DGP J&K and Director SKPA, Udhampur.
In his inaugural address Mohan Lal, SSP welcomed all the course participants on behalf of Director SKPA. He laid stress to enhance professional competence of the investigating officers to investigate offences against women and children including Cyber Crime so that at the end of the day, the cases end in conviction.
