EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Jan 16: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) appealed LG J&K to implement roaster system in schools for attendance of teachers only for administrative/official work. In view of the spike in Covid-19 Cases in Jammu and Kashmir, Ganesh Khajuria chairman JKTF in a press statement here appealed LG, Chief Secretary J&K and Principal Secretary School Education Department J&K to implement the roaster system in Schools. As the teaching fraternity is already taking their classes through online mode and performing their duties with full enthusiasm and also performing all the assignments of Covid related duties. Positive cases for covid-19 have been detected in almost all the institutions but even then the dedication of the teachers is praiseworthy who are attending their institutions without any hue and cry. The 100% attendance of teaching staff is just an invitation to more Covid Cases which will also cause problem for administration to control the Covid-19 cases.
Chairman further assured the administration that Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum believes in work culture in Schools and remained on forefront in any type of assignment given by administration whether it is teaching or non-teaching. But keeping in view the prevailing situation in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and loss of many precious lives in the U.T during the second wave it becomes necessary for us to take necessary steps well in time.
Those who accompanied the Chairman included Soorat Singh Toofani, Gopal Singh, J.A Agah, Darshan Sharma, Raj Singh, Haji Iqwal Mohd, Rajinder Gupta, Ravinder Singh, Kuldeep Bandral, Kuldeep Verma, Sushil Sharma, Bharat Bushan, P.D Singh, Gautam Singh and others.
