Early Times Report

Rajouri, Jan 23: A lineman, Mohammad Saleem, of Power Development Department (PDD), who received an electric shock, while performing his duty in Jawahar Nagar area was left in lurch by the employees of his own department. After sustaining the shock Saleem was rushed to the hospital by locals. None of the PDD officials reached the hospital to help the injured lineman, who was referred to Jammu for specialized treatment. “It’s unfortunate that no one from his own department came forward to help him,” said the people who had brought him to the hospital.
“It was the duty of the PDD officers to look after their employee,” they said.
“Saleem has sustained serious injuries. He is a poor man and deserves all the help. We the residents of Jawahar Nagar and Chapria area did whatever we could. We request others to come forward and help him out in this hour of crisis,” locals said.
