| GDC Basohli organizes essay competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
BASOHLI, Jan 23: Government Degree College, Basohli organised an online essay writing competition on contribution of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose in the independence of India under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The event was organized under the patronage of the college Principal, Dr. Nidhi Kotwal. In the inaugural address she recalled the contribution of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose like raising the first Indian National Army in 1943 and inspired thousands of Indian youth to join. She also urged the students to follow his footprints and work together for the betterment of the nation. Afterward, Dr Jeevan Kumar briefed the event and narrated the instructions and guidelines for the essay writing competition. Later, the competition was conducted in which 18 students participated and pen down their views on Contribution of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose in the Independence of India. The event was adjudged by Dr Kehar Singh, Dr Gotam Singh, and Dr Shiv Mangal and results revealed that Monika Thakur of Sem III bagged the first position, whereas, Neha Thakur of Sem II secured 2nd position, and Simran of Sem III stood at 3rd position. |
