Webinar on "Resume Preparation and Interview Skills" held

JAMMU, Jan 29: Padma Shri Padma Sachdev, Govt P.G College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu in collaboration with District Employment Counselling Centre (DECC) Jammu organized a webinar on "Resume Preparation and Interview Skills" for the students today.
The Patron and Principal of the College, Dr. Sangita Nagari laid emphasis on organizing more such employability and skill development programmes for benefit of the students and achieving the aim of the education. She also appreciated the efforts of the Organizing Committee and DECC Jammu.
Prof. Ambica Kumari, Nodal Officer for Career Counseling & Coordinator for school linkages, Manodarpan, from the college welcomed the patron(s) of the programme, Dr. Sangita Nagari, Principal of the College and Dr. Manisha Kaul, Deputy Director, DECC, Jammu. She also welcomed the Resource Person and the participants. More than 100 students participated in the online programme.
Balvinder Singh, State Head HCL Technologies for Himachal Pradesh and J&K was the Resource Person. He informed that Curriculum Vitae (CV) is a very in-depth document that describes career journey step by step and resume is a short straight to-the-point document, created for the purpose of applying to a specific job. He guided the participants for preparing CV and Resume. Also, the participants learnt Interview skills from the Resource Person. Balvinder Singh solved the queries raised by the students.
The programme was coordinated by Prof. Ambica Kumari, Dushyant Singh, CCO DECC and Shivali Choudhary, Employment Officer DECC.
In the end, Shivali Choudhary, Employment Officer DECC presented the vote of thanks.
