2/6/2022 11:39:50 PM
Early Times Report

KHOUR, Feb 6: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister on Sunday said that party played a significant role in bringing J&K on development path and that is the reason that Union Territory is marching abeam with other states and UTs of the country.
The former deputy Chief Minister said this while addressing a meeting of the party workers here at Khour in Akhnoor.
Kavinder Gupta said that during the past two years, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been marching on the path of development as a result of PM Narendra Modi-led government’s initiatives, which included various developmental schemes executed under the Prime Minister Development Package focusing on individual beneficiaries and reviving long-pending projects which remained quiescent for several decades by removing the obstacles, through ensuring effective and transparent administration.
Kavinder said that both the Union and the UT governments have been leveraging technology to provide several benefits to the local population and the results have started coming on ground with agriculture, industry, job avenues getting a major push and people showing enthusiasm shunning the disappointment which used to rule the roost few years ago under the successive governments which were phlegmatic and indifferent towards the welfare of people. He asked the party cadre to remain active and connected with the masses and disseminate information about the pragmatic policies and plans of the party to further accomplish the development of the UT and percolate prosperity in every nook and corner of the region.
Sham Lal Sharma, Vice President BJP J&K said that every BJP worker has a duty to serve the people selflessly as BJP is not only a political outfit but a movement to make India the world leader. He also asked the party functionaries to side by side strengthen the organizational set-up of the party as the same is a must for ensuring seamless development of the country and welfare of the people.
Secretary BJP J&K and Prabhari District Akhnoor Rekha Mahajan, ex MLA Krishan Lal Bhagat, Vice Chairman Kissan Advisory Board Daljit Singh Chib, DDC Member Bushan Bral, and Municipal Chairman Jourian Depty Ram also addressed the meeting.
Others who were present in the meeting include State Executive Member Narinder Singh Bhau, Mandal Presidents Sukhdev, Jagan Nath, Balwinder Singh, District team, Mandal Prabharis and Shakti Kendra Pramukhs. The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by District General Secretary Shobha Ram.
