'Delimitation Commission preliminary report injustice to KPs'

JAMMU, Feb 7: Monday on the 492 day a protest sit-in was held by the Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front J&K at Jagti migrant township Nagrota Jammu under the chairmanship of its president/ convener of PCC migrant cell K&K Shadi Lal Pandita.
He said that the delimitation commission has not kept a political reservation for Kashmiri Pandits which is utter in justice to Kashmiri Pandits and betrayal of Kashmiri Pandits which is strongly condemned by the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC)/Soan Kashmir Front and PCC Migrant Cell J&K. Pandita said that since the BJP government come to power, Kashmiri Pandits are being ignored in every possible way. Pandita said the BJP government is only oppressing Kashmiri Pandits and depriving of their democratic rights and right to life. Pandita said we have been protesting for 492 days but tha BJP government is not resolving our demands. Addressing the protesters Pandita said we are demanding from the government to increase the monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000. A pakage of 20,000 jobs to be given for unemployed youth of KPs, compensation for over-aged youth and removal of illegal occupations of land and religious places of KPs in Kashmir valley. Three townships should be set up near Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag for resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir valley. Balanced amount of burnt houses, damaged houses and 32 years losses of land properties should be paid to exiled community. Kashmiri Pandits should be given political and minority status. Others who were participated in the protest sit-in are Shuban Ji Raina, Raj Kumar Bhat, Vinod Bhat, Rakesh Tickoo, Mohan Krishan Tickoo, Ram Krishan, Vijay Bakshi, Satish Pandita, GM Khan, Ab Rahman Dar and others.
