JK Admin remote controlled by central BJP: Satish Sharma
2/7/2022 10:53:59 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 7: Today a protest was held under the leadership of Congress leader Satish Sharma at Khour against the anti people policies of the current BJP led Govt of J&K. Hundreds of youth and local residents joined the protest outside SDM office Khour to raise their demands of revocation of order of cancellation of jobs, reinstatement of separate ALC quota and to express their anguish against the failures of Govt of JandK to control mining mafia and issuing of anti people orders to disturb the peace of people living in rural areas.
While addressing the people Satish Sharma said that the Government of JandK which is remotely controlled by central BJP Govt is a complete failure and is each day proving to be a disaster for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that this Govt approved to designate a competent authority for seeking permission to do any kind of construction in the rural area. This rule is threat to the social fabric of our rural society as this rule is going to make a ground for unrest in the rural areas as there are serious apprehensions about the members of this committee in the people living in rural areas as Sarpanch is not elected by whole village and might work on an biased basis towards his supporters and people who opposed him in Sarpanch elections. Also the patwari is an already over-burnt Govt employee so it is going to be a hard exercise for the people to seek permission from them. Satish also raised the issue of recruitment for the post of constable in two border battalions in which they "excluded the candidates who had earlier qualified/disqualified in PET/PST in earlier notification of these posts. Order of exclusion is against the spirit of law and violates fundamental rights under Article 16 of the constitution which guarantees "equality of opportunity in matters of public employment".
Satish said that youth of JandK wants revocation of this rule and include all the candidates in the recruitment process. Satish also raised the problems being faced by villagers due to the Mining mafia in the area as people are being threatened by Mining Mafia in the area whenever people go to collect sand from the khads that are passing through their panchayat halkas. Satish said these khads are flowing though the lands on which the locals are having ownership rights and they need not to seek any kind of permission to collect sand from that land. Moreover, being present in the jurisdiction of a panchayat, the rights over the collection of sand and stones from these khads should be given to the panchayat authorities and the revenue generated from such extraction should be spent on development of the panchayats.
