GURDASPUR, Feb 7: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Monday sounded the poll bugle in Punjab's Gurdaspur Constituency seeking votes for the party candidate Parminder Singh Gill.
In a series of public meetings, Kavinder highlighted the development initiatives taken by the BJP in the country. He said that by giving a vote in favour of the BJP candidate, the people will ensure all round development of the constituency which in turn will pave the way for the development of the whole of Punjab.
Kavinder said that certain vested interests are misleading the public by their bogus promises and assurances therefore it is important that people should remain wary against such entities and show confidence in BJP because it is the only nationalist party which is working selflessly for the welfare of the people and side by side ensuring colossal development which will help the country to become one of the world powers, which is also the dream of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Highlighting the achievements of BJP government led by PM Modi, the BJP's stalwart leader said that under the present regime the country has made progress by leaps and bounds and is leading in defence, agriculture, IT sector, space technology and so many other fields. He said that it is time to give Punjab a government with double engines so that deficiencies of all kinds can be removed successfully giving prosperous and happy life to people.
The senior BJP leader said that the dedication and sincerity of BJP leaders is known to all and therefore vote to BJP means vote to development therefore without giving any attention towards non-serious candidates who have come to Punjab for experimentation the people should cast their vote in favour of BJP candidates and ensure long lasting prosperity in Punjab.
Among those who accompanied the former deputy chief minister include Rakesh Jyoti, Bal Krishan Mittal, Rajinder Bitta, Neelam Mahant, Alka Mahant, Anuranjan Saini, Arvind Mahajan and Atul Mahajan.
