Jammu Sanskriti School organises Commerce Carnival 2.0

Jammu, Feb 7: Jammu Sanskriti school, Jammu organised it’s Annual fest, Commerce carnival -2.O (Pitch Ur Idea)2022. The carnival thrives to enhance the commercial acumen of young pupil . The competition was open to students of classes 9 to 12. 17 schools from different parts of the country participated in the event.
The principal cum vice chairperson of the school gave a welcome address to the gathering comprising of eminent leaders of education. Coordinators from different sections of the school also extended their gratitude by presentation of saplings to the respective esteemed guest of the occasion . The chief guest of the day Dr. Hardeep Chahal, Professor & Head, Deptt. of Commerce, Jammu University in her address inspired, evoked thought provoking insights to gain business acumen in the era of globalisation. The guest of honour Mr. Trilok Singh Bist- Principal D.P.S Ghaziabad Vasundara New Delhi appreciated the endeavour taken by the school and apprised the participants asserting that the real value of commerce stream lies in its application as commerce is the backbone for the economic development of the nation. Mr. Kunal Anand Principal D.P.S Udhampur and Mr. Rajesh Rathore Principal Shree Ram Universal school also graced the occasion with their benign presence and inspirational words for the participants. The event was adjudicated by renowned specialist in the commerce sector Dr. Atul Hans Principal IDRS Jammu and Ms. Shakun Choudhary Senior coordinator G.D Goenka School Jammu .
The Participants pitched their business ideas with confidence and Zeal that is required for a successful entrepreneur . The participants were also countered by the justified and interesting questions put forth by the judges. Birla Open Minds International School clinged first position, RMG International School & KC Public School, Jammu bagged second position respectively, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu & Presentation convent School scored third position respectively. First consolation prize was awarded to DPS Amritsar & APS Jammu Cantt. & Second Consolation prize was awarded to MV International School & IDPS, Jammu.
The event was marked with a brilliant run through of scintillating events by the Sanskritians on a virtual platform. The event was compeered by the Sanskritians Rashmi Rajput and Shubneek kour. Speaking on the occasion Ms Rohini Aima Principal cum vice chairperson of the school asserted that carnival has fulfilled its purpose of igniting the spark of entrepreneurship and essence and scope of corporate sector . The curtain came down with the vote of thanks extended by Sushant Chakharia a student from class 12 laureate of the school . The whole programme was executed by the event co-ordinators Ishant Arora (H.O.D COMMERCE) and Ms. Sarika Sharma P.G.T Commerce.
