Team MRF Tyres aims high with three cars for 2022 FIA ERC season

CHENNAI, Mar 5: Team MRF Tyres today announced a decorated 3 car lineup for the 2022 FIA European Rally Championship.
The season will see a new driver line up with three top drivers from three different countries donning Team MRF colours.
Italian, Simone Campedelli returns to Team MRF with co-driver Tania Canton after their successful 2021 FIA ERC campaign where they showed great grit and provided important data for the team to develop tyres while participating in the final 3 rallies of the season.
Spaniard Efr"n Llarena joins Team MRF Tyres with co-driver, Sara Fern"ndez who finished at the second position overall in the Driver's Championship and first in the Codriver's Championship in the 2021 FIA ERC.
The third driver is four-time Hungarian Rally Champion, Norbert Herczig with Igor Bacigal in the co-driver's seat. The Hungarian pair has gained pace in the FIA ERC over the last couple of seasons finishing fifth in the 2021 FIA ERC, a release from MRF said.
The team will field all three drivers across the entire 2022 FIA ERC season, which takes place over eight rounds.
The Championship will get underway with a Portuguese doubleheader, the Rally Serras de Fafe e Felgueiras on March 12 and 13.
MRF Vice Chairman and MD Arun Mammen said ?I am proud to see MRF Tyres achieving success in the most challenging rally championships in the world. It is a testament to the commitment of everyone at MRF Tyres who strive for the best."
