‘Ayushman Bharat Card cruel joke with poor’
3/7/2022 11:47:30 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 7: Government Medical College Jammu is again in news as the Ayushman Bharat Card is not proving to be of any use for the patients.
Husband of Monica Sawhney (patient) while talking to a local news channel said, “Whenever I approach the drug counter in the hospital to get medicine, I am told that medicines are not available. I have to purchase all the medicines from the open market. Even tests have to be conducted from private laboratories. I paid Rs 4100 for tests, and purchased medicines worth Rs 3500 from the market. Even the urine test had to be done from outside.”
He said, “Ayushman Bharat Card is of no use. It’s proving to be a cruel joke with the poor people.”
“No one wants to listen to the poor. It’s Andher Nagari, Chopat Raja. I have taken Rs 20,000 on loan from a financier to bear the expense of my wife's treatment,” he added.
