Jammu, Mar 20: Refuting the claims made by LG Administration on completing one year of its “Awaam Ki Awaz” for providing services to the people during his tenure, the Former Minister and senior Congress leader said that however this administration might make claims but there can be no alternative of popular government. He alleged that the sufferings of common people are not being heard by this administration. “People can be seen facing huge difficulties in getting their works done in the Revenue Department, PHE, Police, etc. and they are made to visit the offices again and again.
“Lieutenant Governor’s set up has complicated things for the general public. Lower rung officials don't respond to the calls of common people even if they don’t pick up the calls of politicians. The attitude of this LG Administration has become autocratic,” they alleged.
He alleged that unlike its slogan of decentralization of powers, the working of LG administration has been centralized by the BJP higher command. Nothing has changed for the common people, who were expecting huge welfare of the people from this administration.
Rubbishing the claims of employment, Sharma said that the aspirants of CISF, BSF, Border Battalion, NHRM are on road for their jobs and this government failed to resolve their issues as there is not clarity in its decisions. “Corruption has reached its highest in Jammu and Kashmir. BJP which claims itself the champion of Jammu people has virtually failed to come up to the expectation of people,” he said. |
