3/21/2022 11:10:37 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 21: Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit paid floral tributes to veteran hero and freedom fighter Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his birth anniversary according to the Hindu calendar here today.
In a function held at Party's Central Office Jammu, party president UT J&K Manish Sahni along with other leaders paid tribute to Shivaji Maharaj.
Shiv Sena leaders also named the Channi Himmat Chowk as "Chhatrapati Shivaji" Chowk and installed his statue made of flex board. Talking to reporters here today, Manish Sahni said that Chhatrapati Shivaji was one of the bravest, most progressive and sensible rulers of India.
He was also a symbol of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood along with courage, valor. He adopted humanitarian policies in his administration, which were not based on any religion. His navy was commanded by Muslim general Siddi Sambal, his secretary of intelligence was Maulana Haider Ali and the command of their artillery was in the hands of Ibrahim Khan," Sahni said. Sahni laid stress upon people to maintain traditional bond of brotherhood in Jammu & Kashmir and people must contribute to ensure that Jammu & Kashmir with all its religious, cultural, ethnic and linguistic diversities stays together in harmony. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir are peace loving, but certain political groups for their vested interests are pushing them to a corner and for their own gains trying to create a divide which is unfortunate.
On this occasion, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Chairman Rakesh Gupta, Vice President Balwant Singh, President Kamghar Wing Raj Singh, Secretary Balveer Singh, Imtihan Hussain, and many others were present.
