Development activities undertaken by Jammu Smart City Ltd highlighted

JAMMU, Mar 28: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation along with Raj Kumar Chairman Health & Sanitation Committee JMC, Hardeep Singh Mankotia Chairman Swacch Bharat Committee JMC highlighted the work of various major development activities being undertaken by Jammu Smart City Ltd. at different localities within the jurisdiction of JMC.
Addressing a press conference today, the Mayor said that the execution of works under JSCL has been speeded up especially from the last more than one year as soon as the Commissioner JMC was made as CEO of JSCL by the government with the hectic efforts of all the municipal councillors.
He said that the work of development of vertical gardens from Jewel to K.C Chowk is under progress, work of making 10 Anganwadi centers as smart centers in Jammu City is also under process. In order to make Jammu City garbage free E-Rickshaws have been launched in various wards for which electric charging station at Dogra Chowk near Jewel has been constructed under JSCL.
The Mayor said that the work of commissioning of five numbers of cycle tracks at Science College Ground, Gole Gujral, Channi Himmat area, Sainik Colony etc is also going on with full speed as well as commissioning of display advertisement panels, smart lighting at all the four number of Tawi Bridges of Jammu City, intelligent traffic management system, development of Intelligent command & control centre, providing of façade lightning system at Bahu Fort is also under process.
The Mayor said the construction of smart traffic booth in various locations of Jammu city, beautification of 23 rotaries/ junctions, development of light & sound system at Bahu Fort, beautification & modernization of Aquarium in coordination with fisheries department at Bagh-e-Bahu, developing of Jammu Tawi river front on the pattern of Sabarmati River Development Front Gujarat, beautification of Apsara Road, widening & beautification of Talab Tillo Road by covering part of canal passing through the locality, developing of Blue Green Project from Paloura to MBS Collage, developing of Blue Green Project from Gorkha Nagar to Railway Station, developing of beautiful wall paintings on the city walls, City landscaping project is also been taken up under the JSCL.
Besides this, modernization & beautification of Archaeology Building at Jammu Kala Kendra, developing of multi-level car parking at the vacant land at Poonch House Panjtirthi and developing of various projects under JSCL for making Jammu really a smart city are also being undertaken for the betterment & convenience of citizens of Jammu and tourists/pilgrims who come in large number on routine basis in the city.
