Reasi Police rescues seven bovines, arrests seven smugglers

JAMMU, Mar 29: Drive against bovines smuggling in district Reasi continues and teams of district police Reasi laid special nakas and arrested seven bovine smugglers while rescuing seven bovines being illegally transported by them and seized three vehicles used for transporting the animals.
A team of Police Post Talwara laid a surprise naka at Dolsi-Jerri during early morning, intercepted a Tata mobile bearing registration number JK-20 1092 and rescued three bovines from the possession of bovine smugglers namely Talib Hussain, Manzoor Hussain and Mukesh Kumar, all residents of Pouni. FIR 80/2022 US 188 IPC, 3/11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Reasi and investigations initiated. Vehicle Tata mobile got seized and all the three accused got arrested in the instant case.
A team of Police Station Pouni during surprise naka checking foiled bovines smuggling attempt in Kothian area of Pouni while intercepting a Mahindra pickup bearing registration number JK-11 2072 and rescued two bovines. In this regards FIR 13/2022 US 188 IPC, 3/11 PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Pouni and accused namely Mohammad Latief R/o. Marchola Tehsil Sunderbani, Rajouri and Satish Kumar R/o. Siot, Rajouri got arrested and vehicle got seized in the instant case.
In another incident, a team of Police Post Dera Baba intercepted one pick-up truck bearing registration number JK-20B 2159 at Haji Morh while on way from Dera Baba to Simbal chowha and rescued two bovines from the vehicle. In this regard FIR 81/2022 US 188 IPC, 3/11 PCA Act stands registered at Police Station Reasi, the said vehicle got seized and two bovines smugglers namely Mohammad Qasim R/o. Dharmari, Arnas and Mohammad Arfan R/o. Gool, Ramban got arrested for illegally transporting the bovines.
