Court rejects bail of Chairman, Principal in admission scam
3/29/2022 11:01:47 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 29: City Judge Jammu Manjeet Rai has rejected the bail application of Amardeep Singh Sasan, Chairman Vinayak Institute of Nursing and Para-Medical Science and Ruchi Kumari Principal in admission scam.
Police Station Gangyal registered FIR 29/2022 u/s 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC on the complaint filed by complainant's namely Sonia Khajuria R/o. Dhamyal-Hiranagar, Kathua & others produced a written application against Vinayak Nursjing Paramedical management to the effect that they had taken admission in 2019 as lateral entry GNM, course.
According to their prospectus they had paid fees of two years and the Institute management are several times requested for conducting examinations, the college management does not pay any heed. The passage of time had been passed and the management were requested to refund the fee, if the examinations were not conducted. But the chairman of the institute and Principal with the conspiracy of one Shakeel Ahmed as an agent had cheated them and had looted their hard earned money and also spoiled their future.
The court observed that accused persons are allegedly involved in the offences under sections 420/467/468/471/IPC and the offences under section 420/467/468 IPC are non-bailable and serious in nature, as such, the accused persons cannot claim the bail as a matter of right. Moreover, it would be premature to comment, on the evidence collected till date as the investigation of the case is at its initial stage. In view of the serious nature of allegations and alleged active role played by the accused in the unsavoury acts of cheating and spoiling the career of students and unemployed youth, enlargement of accused persons on bail, would not only cause the impediment and obstacle in the completion of investigation but also shatter the confidence of the duped complainant. The accused persons do not deserve any leniency in grant of bail. With these observations Court rejected the bail applications.
